Ecco una piccola recensione sulla nostra beniamina realizzata da Musica agregatore:

Katy Perry, la cantante e attrice americana, è uno dei personaggi che in questi ultimi tempi sta facendo parlare di sé, grazie ai suoi prodotti sul mercato.

La Perry, vero nome Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, ha infatti pubblicato il suo ultimo album la scorsa primavera, ma ancora oggi il suo “One of the boys” ha una discreto successo nelle vendite.

Tutti la ricordano con il suo singolo tormentone “I kissed a girl” che ha toccato la numero uno della Billboard Hot 100 nel giugno dello scorso anno.

Dopo “I kissed a girl” è stato estratto un altro singolo dal suo album, “Hot N Cold”, che ha avuto un buon successo, seppur non paragonabile al precedente singolo.

Molti ricordano il volto della Perry in alcuni videoclip e nella soap opera “Febbre d’amore”. Durante la carriera Katy Perry ha anche presentato gli MTV Europe Music Awards nel 2008 a Liverpool e nel 2009 a Berlino,.

I telespettatori italiani hanno potuto ammirare la Perry esibirsi durante l’ultimo Festival di Sanremo.

All’uscita del nuovo gioco “The Sims3″ si torna a parlare dei numerosi cantanti resi protagonisti di una vita “parallela” nel gioco.

Una di questi è proprio la nostra Katy, trasformata in protagonista virtuale di molte delle canzoni del suo primo album, adattate alle esigenze del gioco in “The  Sims2″.

Ma non c’è solo Hot’n'cold: c’è anche I kissed a girl, U’re so gay, Waking up in Vegas,  One of the boys e Thinking of you.

Insomma, la Sims mania impazza e naturalmente un personaggio come Katy non poteva non esserne investita e trasformata in protagonista, sebbene in un mondo parallelo.

All’inizio sembrava un sogno, ma ora i dati parlano chiaro: dopo un anno, One of The Boys, il primo famosissimo album di Katy Perry, continua a registrare vendite record e incassi niente male, soprattutto grazie alla promozione globale dovuta all’Hello Katy Tour, la cui tappa italiana purtroppo è stata annullata per motivi di salute.

Nonostante sia molto fiera dei risultati raggiunti, che le hanno permesso di passare dall’oscurità più totale alla fama mondiale in un batter d’occhio, Katy dichiara di sentirsi un pò alla stregua di un “venditore porta a porta“:

Il portale Boston.com ha pubblicato un’intervista recentemente rilasciata da Katy durante il suo soggiorno a Istanbul, Turchia, del quale vi avevamo già parlato. Vi lasciamo al botta e risposta in lingua inglese. Buona lettura!

B: Your album has been out just a year, and already I’ve seen you in concert twice. You’re a road warrior, aren’t you?

KATY PERRY: I feel very accomplished right now. I’m very proud of my hard work. I’m glad that I haven’t passed out on stage so that someone could put it on YouTube. I know it’s probably bound to happen one day since I go at such incredible speed, but I’m doing it the right way. I’m touring and meeting people, and I think people are connecting with me and seeing the different dimensions and realizing that [I’m] not just a one-trick pony.

B: I know it’s only a year old at this point, but how has your debut aged for you so far?

KATY PERRY: Well, it’s a year old in the public, but I started writing some of the songs when I was 17. They still relate to me, but sure, I’m over my period now and I know how to deal with boys in a different way. The “One of the Boys’’ record was really important to me. It’s very coming-of-age. Everybody goes through those things of leaving home and having relationships and getting dumped and having revenge and doing things they shouldn’t do.

B: Is it strange to realize you’ve had all this acclaim for just one record? What does that do for you as an artist?

KATY PERRY: I don’t feel pressure for the next record. I’m actually like a volcano ready to pop. Can you imagine singing songs that you wrote when you were 17? It’s still me – it’s the same tongue-in-cheek, silly, slapstick-humor Katy – but yeah, I’m definitely growing up and having different ideas. I think I’m just excited to have this opportunity. I don’t take it lightly.

B: So what’s the key to singing “I Kissed a Girl’’ and still seeming to enjoy it?

KATY PERRY: The idea that I’m probably going to be singing it my whole life. There’s no not singing it. It’s the hand that fed me, and I’m not about to bite it. Yet.

B: In my research, I came across on YouTube a very enjoyable parody of “I Kissed a Girl’’ called “I Dissed the Lord.’’

KATY PERRY: Oh, “I Dissed the Lord!’’ [Laughs] That is actually one of my favorites because it’s so [expletive] up.

B: Is it safe to say you were ready for this kind of fame, maybe even a little hungry for it?

KATY PERRY: Nobody’s really ready for this.

B: Were you at least forewarned?

KATY PERRY: I was very forewarned, and I was always ready. I’d be at dinner and someone would say, “Hey, so-and-so is at the studio and they want to meet you,’’ and I’d be like, “Hey, guys, gotta go.’’ Just ready to go, ready for that next thing that would hopefully open the door that I really needed to catch that lucky star. And since I caught that lucky star, I’ve kind of been holding on for dear life.

Senza dubbio, il video del nuovo singolo estratto dall’album One of The Boys, Waking Up In Vegas, è molto ben progettato e realizzato, grazie anche all’ausilio di molti effetti scenici e di una sceneggiatura niente male. Conoscevate però queste 7 piccole curiosità che vi sveliamo oggi?

1. Il vestito rosso con la piuma dello stesso colore e quello giallo che Katy indossa durante la scena della cena sono stati entrambi scelti specificatamente per la cantautrice americana ed il suo video da Bob Mackie.
2. Il video è stato diretto da Joseph Kahn, regista che ha già lavorato con altri grandi nomi della musica internazionale tra cui le Destiny’s Child, gli U2, Eminem e molti altri.
3. Il nome dell’elefante che vedete nel video è Ty. Ty ha 41 anni.
4. Il protagonista del video si chiama Joel Moore (Dodgeball).
5. La Las Vegas Boulevard South meglio nota come The Strip è stata temporaneamente chiusa per le riprese in cui Katy è a bordo di una bellissima Lamborghini.
6. Le scene del video sono state girate al Palms Resort a Las Vegas, è più precisamente nella Playboy suite.
7. Oltre ai sosia di alcune celebrità che potete vedere nel video, ci sono anche dei veri e propri vip: gli attori comici Pet & Teller, il famoso giocatore di poker Daniel Negreanu ed i fratelli Maloof, proprietari del Palms Resort.
